Zusammenfassung:	A thermal insulation structure (1) comprising a plurality of reflective sheets or foil layers (2, 3, 4, 5) with interspersed fibrous insulation (6, 7, 8), wherein the fibrous insulation comprises 20 to 80% by weight of microfibres. The sheets or foil layers (2, 3, 4, 5) are preferably joined together along at least one edge seam (9) by an overlooking stitch, and then sealed with an adhesive-backed foil tape (10). The insulation may be used for insulating roofs and walls.
