Zusammenfassung:A n industrial truck, in particular a reach truck, has a lifting mast (15) movable by an actuating element (18). The actuating element (18) is capable of being driven by electronic control apparatus (19) such that, after an activation of an operating element by the operator of the truck, the profile of the movement speed of the actuating element (18) is controlled such that an oscillation of the lifting mast (15) is largely avoided. That profile of the movement speed of the actuating element (18) which is suitable for largely avoiding an oscillation of the lifting mast (15) is stored in the control apparatus (19) for a plurality of operating situations of the industrial truck. Each operating situation of the industrial truck is defined by a plurality of operational parameters.
