Zusammenfassung:	A wave energy generating device comprises a gimbaled (pivoted) disc 20 coupled by linkages 24 to at least three linear generators 12, 14, 16, 18. The coils 30 of the generator are connected to an apparatus subjected to rocking movements, such as a ship or boat, and magnets 28 are pivoted 26 to the linkages 24. The device can generate electricity from pitch and roll movements of the hull of the vessel, and may have an energy storage device 40, for example batteries or capacitors.
