Zusammenfassung:	A paint roller assembly 10 comprising a roller frame 12 has an elongated section 14 on which a roller sleeve 16 can be releasably attached. A release strip 20 having a first end 26 fixed to a first end 22 of the elongated section 14, and a second free end 28 extending beyond a second end of the elongated section 14, is provided. The release strip 20 being positioned radially between the roller sleeve 16 and the elongated section 14 such that the second free end 28 of the release strip 20 can be pulled so as to remove the roller sleeve 16 from the elongated section 14 of the roller frame 12. Pulling the release strip 20 allows the roller sleeve 16 to be removed from the roller frame 12 without the user coming into contact with paint carried on the sleeve 16.
