Zusammenfassung:A sleeve or tubular body includes an undulated internal profile 508 for supporting a bonding compound 507, such as cement or polymer. The compound may be used for coupling a component, such as a valve 504, to the sleeve or tubular. The assembly may form a float collar 500. The internal profile preferably has rounded hills and valleys 514, 516 that may form a sinusoidal wave. The radius of the hills may be larger, smaller or the same as the radius of the valleys. The profile reduces stress in the compound when shear load is applied to the compound. The assembly has reduced leakage during operation. The profile may be manufactured using a milling tool. In another aspect, a tubular body has an external wall surface with concave portion transitioning into a convex portion.
