Zusammenfassung: | A non-woven safety-belt is disclosed which has one or more webs, each comprising a plurality of elongate and substantially parallel fibers 10 (such as spun yarns) which are held together in a matrix material. The matrix material may be a thermosetting or thermoplastic polymer. A second set of fibers may be arranged transversely across the longitudinal fibers 10 to form a cross-ply structure, the second set of fibers are embedded in the matrix. The thickness of the belt may vary along the length and width constituted by multiple layers of the longitudinal fiber. The belt may consist of either monofilament 10a or multifilament 10b longitudinal fibers or a combination of both and the edge regions of the belt may be folded and encased in the matrix such that the arrangement presents a double thickness web with relatively softer edges. |
