Wireless controller for a personal computer

A computer control system comprising a mobile device for remotely operating and controlling a computer, such as a desktop computer. The mobile device comprises a user interface adapted to generate control signals in response to a received user input, a transmitter for transmitting said control signals to the computer, and a receiver for receiving data signals from the computer. The signals are sent using the 2.4 GHz Bluetooth frequency. The mobile device further comprises a display and audio output to convey data content derived from the received data signals, and input means (keyboard, touch screen, pointing device) that are used to control the computer. An authentication procedure can also be used to validate the mobile wireless controller.
