Zusammenfassung: | A plate system for fixing bones comprises plates which have a main body with a variable number of holes and an overridden or overriding step having a variable number of holes, attached to the end of the main body, a free end of the step being either curved or square. The plates maybe of different shapes (such as straight, bifurcated, circular or semi-circular at the start of the step). The system may comprise a plurality of plates. The area around the holes of the step may comprise either a circular row of teeth or a smooth area either projecting or depressed. Screws may be used to fix the plates together. Also disclosed is a screw for fixing the plates together, the screw head may have at least two levels of hexagons, the widest near the end of the screw head and the narrowest below it. The screw may have different diameters of thread, the thickest near the screw head and the thinness near the tip. |
