Zusammenfassung:	A cable card mounting apparatus for a television receiver is capable of maintaining an acceptable temperature of the card without using a fan or heat sink. The cable card mounting apparatus comprises a box-shaped terminal board 103 having a card retaining means 104. When a connector for a cable card is mounted in the card slot, a main body of the cable card is positioned in parallel with a bottom surface 108 of the receiver housing. An air gap may be maintained between the card 102 and the board to allow air to circulate and cool the card. The terminal board 103 may also be provided with vent holes to permit air flow. The card mounting apparatus is particularly suited for mounting at the rear of a TV set and containing a conditional access (CA) card.
