Zusammenfassung:	A suspension strut 11 for a motor vehicle comprises a cylindrical body 16 connected to an unsprung mass of the vehicle and a piston rod 17 connected to a sprung mass of the vehicle. The strut 11 also comprises a dynamic mass absorber 20 which is tuned to damp the natural frequency of the unsprung mass. The dynamic mass absorber 20 comprises a sealed housing 21 in which a suspended ring mass 22 which defines an upper chamber 29 and a lower chamber 30 within the housing 21 is attached around the cylindrical body of the strut 11. The ring mass 22 is held in a suspended state by a number of springs 24 arranged in the upper chamber 29 and lower chamber 30 and a gas which is able to move from one chamber to the other chamber by means of communication ports 31 so as to damp the natural frequency of the unsprung mass.
