Zusammenfassung:A razor has a thin shaving blade (21) arranged so as to make direct contact with the user's skin, in use, and driver means (24, 25) for vibrating the blade as it is moved in contact with the user's skin. In a preferred embodiment the razor has a thin shaving blade (21) provided with a layer (22) of giant magnetostrictive material on at least a surface thereof and means (24, 25) for applying an oscillating magnetic field to the blade such that the surface of the blade is caused to flutter.
