Zusammenfassung: | A folding vacuum cleaner comprises a foot 20 with a nozzle opening 24 defined therein and a link 30 pivotally connected to the foot portion 20. The vacuum cleaner further includes a calf (40 fig 2) pivotally attached to the link 30, a suction source (18, fig 2) attached to one of the calf (40 fig 2) or link 30, a dirt collection system (fig 9) positioned in the calf (40 fig 2) for receiving dirt and debris, a thigh portion 50 pivotally attached to an upper portion of the calf (40 fig 2) and a handle 70 attached to an upper portion of the thigh 50. Rotating the calf (40 fig 2) about the link joint 30 places the dirt separation system (fig 9) above and substantially parallel over the foot 20, thus allowing the vacuum cleaner to operate in a canister mode as well as an upright mode (fig 2). Also disclosed is a vacuum cleaner that includes an electric cable or cord storage arrangement, a vacuum cleaner that includes two pivotable handle portions which house elements of the vacuum cleaner and a vacuum cleaner which has an extendable wand arrangement. |
