Zusammenfassung:	An imaging device and method for producing a flash of light utilizes pulsing of one or more color lights. e.g., red, green, and blue lights, emitted from light sources (40, 42, 44) to produce the flash of light. The light sources may include light emitting diode configured to generate different colour lights. One or more of the light sources may be pulsed on during a time period (t3_t4) during which all pixel rows (10(1) - 10(N)) of a CMOS image sensor are capable of integrating incident light.
