Beschreibung
Zusammenfassung:	A process for the production of a rigid sandwich structure comprising a curable and expandable epoxy resin material between two surface layers. The sandwich structure is heated such that the curable expandable epoxy resin material foams but remains flexible. The sandwich layer and the flexible layer of foamed epoxy material is subjected to moulding conditions so that the structure is moulded and the foamed epoxy material cures to produce a rigid moulded sandwich structure. The foamable epoxy resin preferably contains a blowing agent, a curing agent and a filler and may be heated by infra-red or radio frequency heating. Also included is a composite made by the above process which may be used in buildings, vehicles, sporting goods and furniture.
