Zusammenfassung:	A steering mode control mechanism for a baby stroller. A wheel seat 22 rollingly supports a wheel 20 and is rotatable about a pivot shaft 24 when the mechanism is in a non-fixed (free) direction steering mode. The wheel seat 22 includes a member with a locking recess 25. A base seat 21 is connected to a frame of the stroller and includes a positioning member 3 which is biased by a spring 4 into engagement with the locking recess 25 to prevent rotation of the wheel seat 22 relative to the base seat 21 when the mechanism is in a fixed-direction steering mode. A hand controller is mounted on the frame and connected to a positioning member retracting wire 6. Upon first actuation the controller separates the positioning member from the positioning portion allowing non-fixed steering mode, on second actuation the positioning member engages the positioning portion achieving fixed steering mode.
