Zusammenfassung: | A wellbore communication system 300 for a wellsite having a downhole tool 301, which comprises a mud pulse telemetry device 338 disposed in the downhole tool, an additional telemetry device 348 other than a mud pulse telemetry device disposed in the wellbore, and a pressure transducer/sensor 40, 42 to detect modulated pressure provided by the mud pulse telemetry device. The additional telemetry device may be an electromagnetic device or a wired drill pipe device. There may be a further mud pulse telemetry device. The telemetry device may communicate with the surface and may be operatively coupled to a formation evaluation component. Also disclosed are: a wellbore communication system for a wellsite which comprises a plurality of wellbore telemetry system including a wired drill pipe system, and a surface unit in communication with one of the telemetry systems; a wellbore communication system which comprises a formation evaluation component and a plurality of telemetry systems where at least one is in communication with the formation evaluation component to receive data and transmit said data to a surface unit; a method of communicating between a surface location and a downhole tool deployed in a wellbore which comprises evaluating a subterranean formation using a downhole component positioned in the downhole tool wherein the downhole tool comprises a plurality of telemetry systems and transmitting data from the downhole component to a surface unit via one of the telemetry systems; a wellbore telemetry system which comprises a first wellbore telemetry device coupled to a downhole tool and adapted to use a communication medium to communicate with a surface computer and a second wellbore telemetry device coupled to the downhole tooland adapted to use one of the communication medium, a wired drill pipe link, or an electromagnetic link to communicate with the surface computer. The communication medium may be a gas, mud or a mixture. |
