Zusammenfassung:	A monument or grave light is powered by a solar panel. The solar panel charges rechargeable batteries 'C'. A circuit incorporating a light dependent resistor 'A' switches on a LED light source 'B' when ambient daylight fails. The light illuminates a translucent image, such as a cross. The image itself is set in the solar panel. The image contrasts with the solar panel, which may have a black appearance. A choice of colours may be used for the light. The monument light may be incorporated in a rebate 'D' in a gravestone, using adhesive or cement. Alternatively, the monument light may comprise a lantern with glass sides and a solar panel as a roof. Further, the monument light may comprise a separate solar panel and light affixed at different positions on the monument (Figs 4 and 5).
