Customer assistance system for stores

The invention relates to a customer assistance system for stores with an extremely large sales area, in particular hypermarkets, which contain a large number of information output devices distributed over the sales area, for example display panels for providing the customer with targeted information and at least one central computer, the latter controlling the output of information, in particular advertising information, by means of the information output devices, e.g. display panels, using transmission means and predefinable programs. Said customer assistance system comprises at least one touch screen installed at the entrance to the sales area for converting the purchase requests of the customer into a machine-readable language, shopping trolleys or baskets equipped with a passive identification that can be interrogated, a large number of information output devices equipped with transceiver devices, in particular display panels, in addition to a central computer for generating a program to guide the customer using the purchase request of the latter and for controlling the display panels on the information output devices.
