Zusammenfassung: | A method of configuring a plurality of computer systems with a solution comprises mapping 412 physical identifiers of components of a system whose configuration is to be compared with a base system to logical identifiers of the components of that system, the mapping using a naming convention identifiable by a user so that components having similar capabilities and different physical locations can be compared to determine if they are equivalent devices. The logical identifiers of that system are then compared 420, 422 with those of a base or reference system. When there is a match, the logical identifiers of the system being compared are translated 430 to interface identifiers of that system. When there is no match, it is determined 432 how to map the logical identifiers of the system being compared, using a "best fit" approach. The base system can be used to map multiple systems. |
