Zusammenfassung:A system and a process for aligning an object (140) and the isocenter in an imaging system. The system comprises an electromagnetic emitter (110), an electromagnetic receiver (120, 125) and an imaging unit (160) for determining the isocenter of an image scan based on information from the electromagnetic receiver (120, 125). The imaging unit (160) identifies the isocenter on the basis of a plurality of electromagnetic position measurements. The imaging unit (160) identifies the center of an object (140) to be imaged on the basis of information from the second electromagnetic receiver (125). The imaging unit (160) repositions the object (140) based on the isocenter. In an embodiment, the emitter (110) is located on the object (140), the first receiver (120) is situated on a detector (130), and the second receiver (125) is situated on a tool (150) for identifying the center of an object (140) or a part of an object. Also included is a claim for aligning the centre of an object to be imaged with the isocenter of the arrangement, wherein the isocenter is located at the point of intersection of two X-ray projections.
