Zusammenfassung:	A connector 10 for connecting two tubular members comprises two connector pieces 11, 12; each connector piece comprising a body portion 13 located between two insert portions 14. In use, the connector pieces are aligned with each other and the insert portion inserted into the end of each of the tubular members to be connected. A grub screw is passed through a threaded bore 23 provided in one of the body portions, and tightened to bear firmly against a depression 24 in the opposite body member; thereby urging the connector pieces apart. At least one insert portion is provided with a groove 20 extending parallel with the length of the connector, the groove being dimensioned to be sufficiently large to accommodate a weld seam of a tube such that the connector can be used to connect seamed tubes.
