Zusammenfassung: | A connector 10 for connecting vertical and horizontal support members consists of a tubular node 12 and four radially spaced branches 14. In use, node 12 is positioned vertically, for example on a piece of tubing 26 and held in place on the tubing 36 by a collar 28. Each branch 14 includes part-cylindrical recesses 34 arranged for co-operation with one of four part-cylindrical projections on the node 12. The branches 14 rest against a supporting surface 18 on the node 12, so that weight is transferred through the supporting surface 18 to the main body of the node 12. Each branch 14 is configured to receive a tubular member 36 to extend orthogonally with respect to the node 12, held in place by a jack plate 40. The free end of each tubular member 36 can be connected to a further branch/node combination and a further tubular member can be inserted into top of the node 12, for extending construction radially and upwardly from the node 12, for example in staging, shelving and furniture. |
