Zusammenfassung:A method and apparatus for producing image data, wherein said image data is displayed according to a process tree comprising hierarchical nodes. A switch node 1025 may have a plurality of child nodes 705,1026,1027 but only accepts input from one of them 705. A version of the image data can therefore be stored by storing the state of each switch node in the process tree. A plurality of versions of the same image data can therefore be produced, allowing each to be edited and rendered simultaneously.
