Zusammenfassung:	A hydraulic system, for actuating several clutches, has a master cylinder 4 operated by a clutch pedal (14, fig 1) which supplies hydraulic fluid via pipe 1 to slave cylinder 5 that actuates a clutch (7). The pipe 1 is a one piece construction consisting of at least two sections 16, 17 having different wall thickness (W1, W2, fig 3) that results in the pipe 1 having sections of different flexibility/stiffness. The flexible section 17, which may be plastics, is fixed on a gearbox of a motor vehicle and thus may be easily deformed during operation. While the stiff section 16, which may be metal, is fixed to a body of the vehicle and is practically not moved during operation of the system. The pipe 1 may have alternating sections of different wall thickness (see fig 4). Also disclosed is a pipe manufactured from composite material having an inert layer. In another embodiment a number of pipes are guide parallel and connected together so as to operate several clutches.
