The planar region may be inclined with respect to the base at an angle of between 10{to 80{ and the stack retention means maybe in the form of one or two hooks. The planar region may be supported by a single post structure 6 (FIG 5) or a pair of lateral walls 6a, 6b that may be inclined with respect to the base 4 from 90{ to 45{ as in FIGS 2-4. The dispenser may be made of sheet metal or rigid plastics, and it may have a front wall 16 to prevent the bags from being grasped at their lower portions.
