Pre-heater remote control using text messaging

A motor vehicle fitted with a passenger compartment remote controllable pre-heater can be safely driven immediately on entry when used in countries that experience sub-zero temperatures. This device defrosts all windows fitted to the vehicle passenger compartment and provides passengers of the vehicle a comfortable entry temperature. A text message sent from any mobile phone, is received by the message receiving device (Telecommunications Pager). This message is interpreted by the control unit, which activates the switching unit, which in turn switches on the heater unit, for a pre-set time. If the temperature is at or above the preset temperature, as sensed by the temperature sensor, the fan- assisted heater unit, switches off. If the temperature falls bellow the set level, the fan assisted heater unit, switches back on for the remainder of the preset time or until the required temperature is achieved, whichever comes first. The remote controllable pre-heater can be reset at any time by sending another message to the control unit, or can be set and reset by using the push button switches on the control unit. The status of the device will be indicated by the display of the control unit.
