Zusammenfassung:An Apparatus for the illumination of surroundings includes an infra red camera (22) generating data representing a two dimensional thermal image scene relating to the surroundings; a data processing system (26) for processing the data representing a two dimensional thermal image scene relating to the surroundings to produce an illumination intensity pattern therefrom; and a projector (36) for projecting the illumination intensity pattern onto the surroundings. The apparatus enables the visibility of objects to be enhanced.
