Zusammenfassung:	A device comprises a holding formation (11) having a mouth which in use receives part of a safety apparatus such as a line or a net (24), and an attachment formation (12) which in use engages an construction element such as a beam or flange (Figures 3 and 4). Preferably the holding formation is in the form of a loop (13) having first and second ends (15, 16), each end being attached to one of first and second hooks (18, 19) of the attachment formation. A passage (23) is formed between the hooks of the attachment formation through which the safety apparatus must pass before rotational movement of the apparatus and the device allows the apparatus to locate in the loop of the holding formation. Furthermore, in use the mouth may be closed by the construction member when the device is attached to it.
