Zusammenfassung:	A method of producing lubricant reservoirs in a slide surface of a body 3 on which another body can be arranged to slide relative thereto in a preferential direction 12 of sliding comprises forming recesses 6a to 6f in the surface with a principal orientation extending not in the direction 12 of sliding, but substantially transversely to the direction of sliding. The recesses can be wedge shaped cup-shaped, pan-shaped, groove-shaped or trench-shaped and have a depth of a few microns, a width in the order of magnitude of a 100 microns and a length of at least 100 microns. The elevations formed between the recesses are, for creation of a slide surface, subsequently levelled to a substantial extent. The levelling process may be carried out by vibratory grinding, while the recesses 6a-6f may be formed by grinding, bombardment or chemical etching.
