Zusammenfassung:A reactor for autothermal reforming of hydrocarbons allows a reduction of excess-air factor d during the reforming without resulting in a reduced conversion of the hydrocarbons in the end region of the reaction zone. For this purpose, the reactor includes at least one reaction zone (1) in which is arranged at least one catalyst (3, 4) for the reformation so that the educts involved in the reformation are converted while flowing through the reaction zone (1). Heating means (6) are provided for heating the end region (5) of the reaction zone (1) to accelerate the conversion of the hydrocarbons.
