Zusammenfassung:	The adjusting device for a steering wheel 1 of an industrial truck comprises a first guide plate 4 on which the wheel is mounted, an intermediate guide plate 3, and a second guide plate 2 fixed, in use, to the truck. Guide plate 3 has rollers 6 which engage in a slot 5 in guide plate 2 and rollers 8 which engage in a slot 7 in guide plate 4. A clamping screw 12 extends through the slots and an aperture in guide plate 3. The steering wheel is tilted positively towards the driver when the steering wheel is moved upwardly along slot 5. The maximum adjustment angle of the steering wheel is between 6{ and 14{, the maximum adjustment travel is between 5 cm and 15 cm, and the mean inclination of slot 5 is between 10{ and 30{. Raising of the steering wheel may be assisted by a gas spring.
