A valved connector

A connector 1 for connecting a air-inflatable mattress (4) comprising alternately inflatable cells (11, 12, fig.1) to a pumped air supply. Air supply lines (13, 14, fig.1) from the pumped supply terminating with male body parts 2 are connected to female body parts 3 thus connecting supply lines (13,14) to fluid lines (15,16, fig.1) via passages (17, 18, fig.1) in female body parts 3. When male connections 2 are disconnected from the connector 1, one way valves 7 seal the the air supply lines (13, 14) and expose the cross connection passage 8 thus interconnecting the female body part passages (17, 18). This connects and equalises the pressure between the inflatable cells (11, 12) in mattress 4. The invention is to provide a self sealing automatic transport mode activated by removing the male connections 2, thus eliminating user error.
