Zusammenfassung: | A method and apparatus for controlling the conveyor which comprises a main drive unit I and an auxiliary drive unit II, both consisting of at least one electric motor 3. The drive units cause the rotation of a chain wheel 2 via a planetary gearbox 4. A measuring and control device 9 is used for monitoring the speed and to provide an overload protection for the conveyor. Operating data 27, 28, 29 of the drive units and vibration data 30 of the chain 1 is collected. The data is filtered and a true representation of the chain vibration is calculated and a corresponding filtered signal is generated. A suppressor means receives the filtered signal, and thereby generates a time variable control signal within the chains band pass vibration frequency range. A function of the suppressor causes an operational change in the closing pressure setting of at least one of the drive units multiple disc clutches 6, thereby removing or introducing energy into the chain, thus, dampening the chain's vibrations. |
