Zusammenfassung:A magnetic flaw detector for in-tube diagnostics of pipelines measures magnetic flux leakage in the pipe wall. It comprises a housing, two belts of brushes (4, 5) on magnets of a ferromagnetic material for magnetising the wall, and sets of multiple-unit magnetic field converters (6, 7) based on Hall effect elements, and means for processing and recording data. Collars (9, 10) enable the detector to move with the flow in the pipeline and odometers and temperature sensors are also included. The outputs of the field converters are fed into a multiplexer connected to an amplifier and measured data is analysed to identify defects in the pipeline.
