Cross word board game

A letter or word-based board game comprises a board having a grid of squares, player tokens representing each player, markers, each bearing a letter of the alphabet, a set of game cards having squares, and a set of question cards. The question cards and board squares correspond to different categories of question, e.g. synonyms, antonyms, cryptic clues, or anagrams, and lettered markers are placed randomly on the board squares. Players move their token around the board and answer questions relating to the question category depicted by a particular square. Upon answering correctly, the lettered marker on that square is won by the player and placed on his game card, the object being to form words or phrases using the lettered markers obtained. The board may be in the form of a cross word, and the game cards may have 10 or 15 squares. The question cards may include hints, and bonus cards may be provided which allow the player to choose a particular question category.
