Zusammenfassung:	A catheter arrangement may comprise an ultrasonic transducer array 3 and a plurality of multiplexer units 5a, 5d, which are longitudinally separated in order to minimise the cross-sectional area of the catheter. The catheter may comprise a circuit 12, which incorporates a helically wound section in order to enhance its flexibility. The catheter may comprise a balloon 2 and a stent, where the helical section of flexible circuit 12 may limit the extent to which the stent is compressed. Part of the flexible circuit 12 may be insulating with a waterproof coating and exposed to the fluid used to inflate the envelope 13.
