Zusammenfassung:A method for creating a colour chart comprising the steps of defining a reference colour and then specifying a range of colours from the reference colour such that each colour is spaced by integral multiples of a predetermined colour difference from any other colour, the range spanning between the reference colour and another colour. Preferably the colour difference is between 1.8 and 2.2 CMC values and the reference colour is either black or white. The colour chart may be stored on a computer and the computer may include a database of colour recipes from which a particular recipe may be selected to display the actual colour when applied to a particular substrate.
