Zusammenfassung:Holes which are used for conveying cooling fluid through a workpiece are tested by creating acoustic waves at transducer (27) to propagate through the hole (24), and sensing the acoustic waves at transducer (30). Analysis of the received waves allows fluid flow characteristics of the passage (24) to be deduced, so that the ability of the passage to provide the required throughput of cooling fluid can be assessed.
