Zusammenfassung:	A mortar board 1 with a stand is described. The mortar board 1 is formed from a suitably tough plastics material which does not absorb water from the mortar carried on the board. The stand 6 is tapered so that a number of stands can be nested together to reduce the amount of space required for storage. When used with the stand 6, the mortar board 1 can be used by a builder without excessive and repetitive bending that may cause back injury.
