Zusammenfassung: | A transfer lens 13 for transferring light 18 emitted by a laser 16 into an optic fibre 10 , has a hyperbolic collimating surface 14. The collimated light then passes through an output surface 15 which is shaped to prevent reflected light 19 from the optic fibre 10 back to the laser 16, and to avoid index anomalies on an axis of the optic fiber 10. The output surface 15 can have a variety of different surfaces including a toroidal lens surface, a multiple zone lens surface, a four zone lens surface, or a spiral Fresnel lens surface. In another embodiment the output lens surface (105, figure 10) has a spherical shape. In a further embodiment the input surface (134, figure 13) has a spherical shape and the output surface (135, figure 13) has a hyperbolic shape. An optical system which uses the lens 13 is also disclosed. |
