Zusammenfassung:	Novel splice variants of human unc-5C cDNA are provided having the amino acid sequences set out in Fig.3 (unc-5Cb), Fig.5 (unc-5Cc) and Fig.7 (unc-5C8) as well as corresponding nucleotide sequences. Additionally provided are nucleotide and amino acid sequences corresponding to human unc-5H1 cDNA (as well as oligonucleotides derived therefrom), human mena homology gene (MHI) cDNA, neurexin II-alpha-b homologue cDNA, human "new gene 1" cDNA and human "new gene2" cDNA. Various screening methods and assays based on protein-protein interactions between the UNC-5 protein and a variety of different interacting proteins are also claimed.
