Beschreibung
Zusammenfassung:	An air filtration system 1 has a housing 2, means for encouraging the flow of air through the housing, and a plurality of filters 4-7 aligned in series to progressively filter matter to a particulate size of less than 0.5 microns. Preferably at least one of the filters is a HEPA filter, at least one is a vapour filter, and a grease filter 4 is located towards the inlet. The vapour filter may be laminated or integral with the HEPA filter. The HEPA filter may be formed as a composite with activated charcoal. The system preferably includes at least one sensor to automatically activate the system, such as an occupancy or smoke sensor. The inlet and outlet of the system may be to the same or different rooms to the room in which the system is housed. The means for drawing air through the housing may be a fan. The system may be for use in a commercial kitchen. Alternatively the air filtration system may be part of a heating or cooling unit.
