Zusammenfassung:	A pump unit, such as for delivering brake fluid in a vehicle hydraulic slip-controlled brake system, comprises a coil 12 wound onto a coil carrier 14 having a hub 18 which is pressed onto a plunger 20, the ends of the plunger 20 projecting out of the coil carrier 14 and forming pistons 32 which extend into a bore 22 of a housing 10. Inlet and outlet check vales 40,42 are provided for each bore 22. The coil 12 projects into a recess 24 of a cylindrical permanent magnet 26 fixed in the housing, together forming an electromagnet which causes reciprocation of the pistons 32 when alternating voltage is applied to the coil 12. Alternatively, the permanent magnet 26 may be connected to the plunger 20, with the coil 12 being fixed to the housing 10.
