Zusammenfassung:	An interlock control system for a work machine e.g.a skid steer loader includes a first switch 12 coupled to an operator restraint mechanism e.g.an arm rest, a second switch 20 coupled to the operator seat, a third, parking brake switch 32, and an electronic controller 40. A drive mechanism 46 and an implement control system 50 are enabled when signals from the switches indicate that the operator is present in the seat, the operator restraint mechanism is positioned in its restraining position, and the parking brake switch has been actuated to release the parking brake. When in this operational state, a second actuation of the parking brake switch will disable the drive mechanism (but not the implement control system) and set the parking brake. If the operator restraint mechanism has been moved out of its restraining position and/or the operator is no longer present in the seat, the drive mechanism and the implement control system are disabled and the parking brake is set. The controller may delay recognition of switch actuation, thus avoiding an inadvertent operation.
