Zusammenfassung:	A blade clamping mechanism 20, connected to the reciprocating spindle 22 of a reciprocating tool, comprises an actuating member 40 mounted on the spindle 22 and movable relative thereto into either an engaged or disengaged position, and a locking member 30, associated with the actuating member, movable between locked and unlocked positions, the mechanism being arranged such that movement of the actuating member 40 into the engaged/disengaged position causes the locking member 30 to move into the locked/unlocked position. The actuating member may comprise inner and outer cam surfaces with the locking member 30 having co-operating inner and outer cam follower surfaces. The spindle 22 may have an opening and the locking member may have a body portion 64 slidably postioned within the opening and a head portion 68 on one end of the body portion.
