Zusammenfassung:A titanium dioxide pigment particles have a surface coating of aluminium phosphate in which the molar ratio of aluminium to phosphorus lies in the range 1.8:1 to 1:1.4 A1:P and an oxidising agent in an amount effective to improve the lightfastness of the pigment. The oxidising agent is preferably potassium nitrate in amount 0.5-1.5 wt% based on the dry weight of titanium dioxide, or may be potassium iodate or copper sulphate.
