Paint trays and rollers

A paint supply and finishing system includes a tray 18 and a paint roller 14. The tray forms a basin, with partitioning wall 24 removably positioned within the basin to create first and second pans 26, 28 for receiving roller covers. (Alternatively, two receptacles (122, 123 : see Figure 10) may be connected together within the tray.) The pans preferably include at least one paint-metering medium which can absorb paint and release it on to the roller on contact therewith. The paint roller includes a handle 38 a continuous elongate shaft 40 coupled to the handle, a first roller cover 32 rotatably supported about the shaft and a second roller cover 34 rotatably supported about the shaft. The first and second roller covers are axially spaced from one another so as to independently rotate relative to one another and so as to be simultaneously positionable within the first and second pans.
