Zusammenfassung:	A window or door has a glass pane 2. In order to secure the pane against, for example, fall-out under impact load, explosion or against forced entry, an adhesive film 3 covers the pane and overlaps the surrounding inside surface 4 of a frame 1. Beading 5 is attached along the inside surface of the frame adjacent the pane to clamp the edge of the film against the frame using screws 9. The beading incorporates a resilient sealing gasket 11, a ribbed film contacting surface 6', and a rounded edge 8 to prevent the film tearing under load. For aesthetic purposes, and to hinder access to the fixing means, a snap-fit cover 16 may be fitted to the beading.
