Zusammenfassung:	The present inventor is directed to a protective device for a nut and bolt assembly which assembly is used to secure two or more parts together. The invention is a tubular shaft member (38) to protect the bolt and a tubular shaft (44, 46) or hemispherical body to cover the nut or to cover the tubular shaft and nut together (40). The tubular shaft (38) is either an independent unit or is integrally connected to the hemispherical body. In more embodiments, a connector unit is used. Grease or other protective agent is introduced into assembly to prevent rust and deterioration. Additional embodiments have a one-way valve in the cap, an expandible shaft portion like a bellows in the tubular shaft member, or annular grooves on the inside surface of the tubular shaft member.
