Zusammenfassung: | An electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) test cell comprises at least one antenna 14 formed by at least one conductor forming a geometrical surface and arranged to extend within an electromagnetic screened enclosure 10. The enclosure 10 has a rectangular cross-section. The antenna 14 extends between the side walls of the said enclosure such that it can be energised in a transverse electromagnetic (TEM) mode to create an electric field within a region between the antenna and one of the walls of the enclosure which is predominately polarised parallel to a pair of the enclosure's walls. The antenna includes feed means, an impedance matching termination arrangement and at least one additional conductive element extending along the enclosure positioned between the conductive geometrical surface antenna elements and a side wall of the enclosure. The antenna may be formed by a plate-like conductor or by an array of distributed longitudinal conductors to form a planar or curved surface. Further antennae may be used in TEM mode to create an electric field within the enclosure which is predominately polarised parallel to the other pair of the enclosure's walls. |
